Troubleshooting
When the ShowDown System is powered up a test signal is automatically sent to each target in numerical order and an affirmative response is expected. If the response is not detected a series of beeps will inform which target did not respond. For example, if target #4 did not respond you will repeatedly hear 4 beeps.
Check the cable connections. If OK disconnect the cable at the suspect target and connect another known good cable to the suspect target. For example connect cable #4 to target #3. If 3 beeps are sounded the cable is probably defective. If 4 beeps are sounded something other than the cable is wrong with the target #4. The problem is most likely the Sensor. Set the CPU power switch to OFF. Remove the sensor cover. Make sure the IC chip is securely seated in the socket. Set the CPU power switch to ON. If the beep alarm condition remains ask that a replacement sensor component be sent to you.
If hits are not detected suspect the sensor component of the target. Switch parts around as described above to isolate the problem.
If lights do not come on, suspect the light component of the target. Switch parts around as described above to isolate the problem.
Once detected, ask that a replacement sensor or light component be sent to you. Even if the warranty has expired we will most likely send it to you at no charge.
