ShowDown Target Placement Options
The ShowDown System is different from all other timing systems. Today, no other system supports more than two targets per system; the ShowDown System supports up to six targets. The targets are identical and may be connected to any port of the CPU module. This versatility permits a wide range of Cowboy Single Action games.
This is a
traditional type contest. With this
game the targets are lined up in a row. They may be placed at any distance
apart and up to 21' from the shooting line. The lights for all targets
will be turned on simultaneously. Each single target will be engaged by an
individual
shooter. The shooter will fire one shot at her/his target for score in 99.999
definition. When a hit has been detected the individual target light will be turned off and the
score will be displayed on the optional Timer.
This is
the main event type contests It is also shot in WFDA and other
association events. The ShowDown System can
accommodate 1, 2 or 3 pairs (six total shooters). The paired targets are spaced
apart. The paired shooters will engage one target each, similar to the game above.
The lights for all targets will be turned on simultaneously. The shooter will
fire one or more shots at her/his target. When a hit has been detected the
light will be turned off. The winner lights will flash five times and both
of the shooter's scores
will be displayed on the Timer.
This is
the traditional and popular ShowDown game. Two shooters face three targets each. One of
each shooter’s target light will randomly be turned on. Each shooter will
have five rounds of wax to hit three targets. When the target detects
a hit the light will be turned off and the two remaining lights will be turned on. The winner
lights will flash five times. Usually two out of three rounds wins
the ShowDown. If the optional Timer is connected the winning and loosing scores will be displayed but is
usually immaterial to
the game.
With Team ShowDown two teams of three shooters each compete. Each shooter will have five rounds of wax. The center light will always be turned on first. The center shooter will engage the center target. When the center target detects a hit the light will be turned off and the remaining target lights will be turned on. The shooters on the right and left engage their respective targets. The winning team’s target lights will flash five times. If the optional Timer is connected the winning and loosing scores will be displayed but is usually immaterial to the game.
This
game simulates a SASS™
two-gun stage. One shooter will face six targets. The targets may be
engaged in any order. After reciting the stage scenario all target lights
will be turned on simultaneously. The staggered target height is optional
and makes the game even more challenging. The shooter's holstered gun will
contain only five rounds of wax. The shooter’s second Single Action gun
with five loaded rounds will be staged on a table close to the shooter. The shooter has
two guns, ten
rounds to engage six targets for the best total elapsed time score. Or,
the staged gun can be a lever action rifle or shotgun loaded with wax bullets.
